1950s Vintage Summer Seersucker Shirt Large

Measures 20” across the shoulders, 48” through the chest, 44” at the waist and length is 31”. Buttons down front, has one matched patch pocket and shirttail hem. Fabric is lightweight cotton seersucker. Size tag only: large 16 –16 1/2. Very good condition with no holes or stains; has slight fray of one buttonhole. True colors are white, yellow-orange and maroon.

1960s Vintage Mans Patterned Rockabilly Zip Up Sweater

This is a knit and does stretch, so I’ll give you the flat measurements and you can figure it will stretch at least a couple inches larger. Measures 19” across the shoulders, 42” through the chest, 34” at the waist and length is 25.5”. Sleeves are 26” long from shoulder seam to cuff and 36” long from center of back of neck to cuff. Fabric is orlon acrylic. Label reads ”bernette”. Very good condition with no holes or stains; has a few pills. True colors are grey with a faint greenish cast; black and white. Has metal zipper down center front.

1950s Liberty House Hawaiian Aloha Shirt

Measures 19” across the shoulders, 44” through the chest, 38” at the waist and length is 24”. Buttons down front with decorative buttons ( see close-up) and is styled like a 1950s bowling shirt with side buttons and square bottom. Has one matched patch pocket. Fabric is cotton. Label reads ”Liberty House by Hawaiian Casuals”. Excellent condition with no holes or stains; does have one missing button at bottom in front but you could take off one of the side buttons to use. True colors are bright blue and white.

1950s Mans Mohair Rockabilly Sweater Argyle!

Since this is a knit fabric, it will stretch somewhat. I’ll give the flat unstretched measurements and then you can figure it will stretch a couple inches larger.  Measures 18” across the shoulders, 42” through the chest, 32” at the waist and length is 24”. Sleeves are 24” long from shoulder seam to cuff and 33” long from center of back of neck to cuff. Fabric is mohair and wool blend. Label reads ”Puritan”. Excellent condition with no holes or stains; only flaw is that bottom button is missing but it will be easy to match. True colors are navy and warm blueish-grey.  Buttons down front and has ribbed cuffs and waistband.

Mans 1950s Wool Double Breasted Sweater Unusual

Since this is a knit fabric, it will stretch somewhat. Mans Two Tone Suede Trim Sweater 50s Rockabilly

Measures 19.5” across the shoulders, 44” through the chest, 42” at the waist and length is 25.5”. Sleeves are 25” long from shoulder seam to cuff and 35” long from center back of neck to cuff. Fabric is acrylic with suede yoke and pocket trim. Label reads ” Duncan originals”. Good condition with a few tiny spots on suede; you can see these in the photo; a light soiling on sleeve that was too pale to show up in a photo ( should come out with cleaning) and the small repair low in front that’s in the close up. True colors are yellow and tan.

Vintage Notre Dame T-shirt 70s Shirt Commemorating 1956

Possibly made for a 20 year class reunion this shirt was made in the 70s but has vintage photos and the date of ’56. This is the real deal—an original—not a reprint! Guaranteed! Does stretch so I’ll give a range of measurements: Measures 15.5”-18” across the shoulders, 35”-40” through the chest, 30”- 36” at the waist and length is 25”.  Fabric is 50% cotton 50 % polyester. Label reads ”Tee Jays”. Good condition with no holes or stains—has been worn and washed and is well broken-in and does have some pilling. True color is bright green with black and white photos design. Front has vintage 50s photos of Notre Dame basketball and other scenes of campus and the back is blank.

1960s Black Bowling Shirt “Wilford”

This durable 60s cotton poly blend bowling shirt has a touch of the military look with the faux epaulets across the shoulders.  Measures 19 1/2 inches across the shoulders, 50 inches in the chest and 32 inches from collar to bottom hem.  Label reads, King Louie creations, size XL.  Two front slit pockets have two tone, red and tan openings with the owner’s name, “Wilford”, stitched above the left pocket.  “Douglas Plumbing” hot press decal across the back.  Black fabric has faded some with numerous washings but otherwise in excellent condition with no holes or stains.

Measures 20” across the shoulders, 50” through the chest, 50” at the waist and length is 30”. Buttons down the front and has  square bottom and one rounded patch pocket on front. Fabric is lightweight 50 % cotton 50 % polyester. Label reads ”Hilton active apparel made in USA ”. Excellent condition with no holes or stains. 1950s 2 Tone Bowling Shirt “Gunner”

I hated to part with this classic two tone, c. 1959 bowling shirt but I outgrew it.  Has no label but “Gunner” had his nickname stitched above the chest pocket.  Measures 18 inches across the shoulders, 42 inches in the chest and 29 inches from collar to bottom hem.  Ole Gunner must have eaten a lot of cheeseburgers while he was knocking pins because there are several very light ketchup stains scattered on the bottom front and there is a small 1/8 inch cig burn at the edge of the front closure.  Who cares about that when you have on the back one of the best screened advertising logos I have ever seen.  Check out the early smiley face driver and the weird, bug-like grease monkeys gassing and servicing the ’59 Cadillac.  Cotton, poly blend has taken a lot of washing and still no damage to the Marsh Garage logo.

1950s Gabardine Bowling Shirt “Doc’s”

There is nothing like wearing drapey, buttery soft rayon gabardine from the 50s.  This is a classic turquoise 50s version with two patch pockets, hidden button flaps and neck loop.  Label reads “The Master Bowler, Ligonier , Ind. , Hand Washable, size 17.  Measures 20 inches across the shoulders, 48 inches in the chest and 33 inches from collar to bottom hem.  Has minor collar soiling and a tiny pick on the right pocket, but otherwise in excellent condition with no holes or stains.  The word, Doc’s, on the big applied patch on the back is chain stitched, while the number, $5, is chain stitched directly on the shirt.  The significance is known only to the original owner.

Vintage 50s Rayon Mans Summer Sport Shirt

Good condition with no stains, but does have the two frayed spots at the top of the right pocket as you can see in the close-up. Due to their location, you can probably have them fixed so they don’t show much; the repair could be hidden under the pocket edge. True color is a warm golden yellow. Has loop for top button, hidden button placket, square bottom, two patch pockets, embroidery on the top of the button placket and no lining.

1950s Cotton Deadstock Rockabilly Shirt

Straight out of storage, a nice short sleeve pima cotton shirt for summer with very generous XL proportions for a size 16 1/2 from the 50s.  The sporty two tone beige silk trim gives the appearance of a polo shirt and is fastened with a toggle button arrangement.  ( See photo )  Otherwise has the traditional button front.  The nifty label reads, Silk-O-Rama, sanforized, size 16 1/2.  New old store stock is in excellent condition except for a few scattered very tiny spots that are possibly from the original packaging. Measurements: shoulder to shoulder 18”; underarm seam to seam (chest) 47”, length from top of neck to bottom hem 29”.

Wallys Two Tone Striped 50s Sportster Shirt

While Beaver was sweating out his third grade spelling test, Wally was making the girls weak in the knees sporting this shirt to Algebra class. Very good condition with a couple of minor flaws; has a ¼” fared spot at the very bottom of the hem at center back; some very minor fraying around a couple of the buttons and some very faint yellowing on the bottom edge of one pocket. True color is medium blue with black and gold crewel embroidery. Has loop for top button, two flap button-down patch pockets and shirttail hem. Great graphic on back features a derrick moving bowling pins; done in silk-screen, felt iron-on lettering and crewel embroidery.

Very good condition with a few teensy flaws; stitching on pocket is worn as you can see in the close-up, has a few pin-head sized spots and a snag on center back. Has some pilling on inside of collar. True colors are white with green stripe and white and red patches. Sewn-on front name patch, front Coke patch and back Coke patch. Has shirttail hem with two patch flap pockets, button down front.

Peugeot Cycles T-Shirt with Esso Emblem

This is the real deal—an original—not a reprint! Guaranteed! Does stretch slightly so I’ll give a range of measurements: Smallest measurement is flat measurement; largest one is the maximum the shirt will stretch to; it will fit anyone in between Measures16 ”-17.5” across the shoulders, 38”-40” through the chest, 38”- 40” at the waist and length is 28”.  Size marked on label is “L” for large, but go by measurements for best fit. Fabric is 100% polyester. Label reads ”Pro Action by Campus”. Good condition with no holes –has faded some from washing and there is slight, very slight, underarm yellowing, also has been repaired with black thread across shoulder seam but this is not very noticeable. Also a light brown smudge across the bottom front near the hem, about 4” long. True colors are white with black checks and red and gold stripe design. Front has “Cycles Peugeot ” and the left sleeve has the Esso emblem—printed on, not a patch.

1970s Shaft Faux Leather Trenchcoat Large

Measures 20” across the shoulders, 49” through the chest, 46” at the waist and length is 37”. Sleeves are 26.5” long from shoulder seam to cuff, and 37” long from center of back of neck to cuffs. Fabric is vinyl with . Label reads ”Amerex—fine outerwear—made in Japan ”. Very good condition with no holes or stains; has a couple of small scuffs on vinyl (see close-up). True colors are dark brown almost black with gold lining. Has chevron design stitching on yoke and pockets, belt, trench coat styling with large lapel and straight cut. Lining is half faux fur, half quilted acrylic and will be warm.

1940s Vintage Pinstriped Pants Watch Pocket

These measure 38" at the waist (no extra fabric to let out), 46" through the hips, inseam is 29" long and outside seam is 40" long (with 2.5” to let out of hem if desired). Leg opening is 8.5" in diameter. I always recommend going by the outside seam to judge length on vintage pants as they fit very differently than modern pants. Fabric is wool. No label. Good condition with no stains; has 1” by 2 mm frayed spot at bottom hemline of one leg. True color is dark blue with very fine white woven stripe . These have a metal zipper, hidden metal snap on waistband, suspender buttons inside waistband, no pleats, watch pocket, two front slash pockets, two back pockets, and they once had cuffs which have been taken out.

These measure 40" at the waist (with another inch to let out if needed), 44" through the hips, inseam is 27" long and outside seam is 39" long (with 2.5” to let out of hem if desired). Measures 20” across the shoulders, 50” through the chest, 46” at the waist and length is 31”. Sleeves are 28” long from top of shoulder to cuff and 37” long from center of back of neck to cuff. Fabric is nylon exterior with full cotton lining. Label reads ”Arrow-tournament XL”. Very good  condition with no holes; has just a few small light spots. Nothing serious at all. Cuffs have elastic.  True colors are off white with multi-colored sewn-on patches. Has metal snap front, drawstring at waist and two side slash pockets.

1950s Italian Tweedy Wool Suburban Coat 

Measures 19” across the shoulders, 46” through the bust, 44” at the waist and length is 34”. Sleeves are 26”long from shoulder seam to cuff and 37” long from center of back of neck to cuff. Fabric is wool with rayon and wool lining. Label reads ”the Thunderbird coat” and “IL Contientale-woven in Italy”. Very good condition with a few small flaws; has a bit of repair needed on the edge of two of the buttonholes; very minor; the leather covers on the sleeves buckles are partially worn off and the seam to the inside of one of the sleeves is open (as you can see in the photo) –this can be fixed of course. No holes or stains. True colors are light to medium grayish-brown . Has 4 buttons down front, adjustable buckled straps on sleeves, and two large flap pockets on front. Has half wool/ half quilted rayon lining. Has two back vents, one on each side. Approximate size is a 44 extra long, but do check your measurements for best fit.

These measure 34" at the waist, 42" through the hips, inseam is 33" long and outside seam is 43" long. Leg opening is 12" in diameter. 1970s Boy Scout + Jaycees Sew-On Patches Large Lot

There are 27 patches and two metal pin-backs in this lot. They are dated from 1968 to 1976. Some are for Jaycees’ annual meetings, some are for boy scout national meetings, one is a NRA membership patch, one a UAW patch, and then there’s a peace sign and a Woodstock patch, so quite an assortment LOL. All in very good condition. Most patches are in the 3” to 4” size range; peace sign is 2.75”; Woodstock patch 3”. Also there’s a Columbia shuttle patch with Young and Crippen on it; this is from the first flight of the space shuttle program in 1981.

1940s Senior Autograph Cowboy Hat

Marked size 6 ¾. Inner diameter of crown is 7.5 from front to back and 6.25” from side to side, crown is 3” tall and brim is 3.5” wide. This felt hat is covered in autographs—probably of the original owner’s high school classmates. Fabric is felt with no lining. No label. Good condition with a few moth nibbles ( no holes all the way through) and some light surface soil. True colors are tan with black ink and black and white braided hatband. One of the signatures is dated ’42.

1950s Vintage Stetson Wide Brim Hat LBJ Style

Marked size 7. Brim measures 3” in diameter and height of crown is 5.5”. Fabric is felt exterior with grosgrain ribbon band, leather sweatband and rayon lining. Label reads “3X beaver quality Stetson”. Very good condition with one moth nibble on underside; it’s so close to the band that it’s very hard to spot. Nibble is 1/8” in diameter. Sweatband also has a tiny bit of wear to edge but it is negligible. True color is light sand. If you look at photos of former President Johnson, you will see him sporting this hat; it was a very popular style in Texas and points west in the 50s. Combines elements of the fedora and the cowboy hat.
