1930s
Embroidered Silk Tap Pants
These
measure 28" at the waist , 48" through the hips (they are meat
to be full cut and to flare out) inseam is 1.5" long; length from
center of crotch to waistband is 16.75” and outside seam is 16"
long. Leg opening is 18" in diameter. I always recommend going by the
outside seam to judge length on vintage pants as they fit very
-differently than modern pants. Fabric is silk, medium weight, unlined.
Label reads ”hand look”. Very good condition with no holes; they have
a few tiny spots that I’ve
shown in the close-ups; one is about 3/16”; the others are about 1/16”
and a few even tinier pin-head sized ones are scattered about. True colors
are peachy-pink with pale blue embroidery. They fasten on the side with
two mother-of-pearl buttons.

Vintage Blue Chiffon and Lace Peignoir
Nightgown Set
Great set! Both pieces are very full in cut and will fit most anyone. Gown
measures 44 inches through
the bust, 50+ inches through the waist, 60+ inches through the hips and
length is 50 inches. Robe measures 15 inches across the shoulders, 46
inches through the bust, 50 inches through the waist, 60+ inches through
the hips and length is 53 inches. Sleeves are 16 inches long from shoulder
seam to cuff. Fabric is nylon. Label reads (100 % nylon). Good condition
with no holes or stains; slightly yellowed at bottom which you only notice
when comparing it to the top; Oxy Clean may well take care of this for
you. True color is bright vivid sky blue with white lace trim. Night gown
pulls on over head and has tie at throat, robe ties at bust as well. Robe
has puffed short sleeves; both pieces are cut full from bust-line down.

Ice Blue Bias-cut Nightgown for a Tall Starlet
It’s very rare to find a gown for such a tall person! From the top of
the shoulder strap to the base of the cups is 18”! Measures 36”
through the bust, 26” to 30” at the waist, from 34” to 38” through
the hips and length is 56”. Fabric is rayon with cotton lace trim. Label
reads ”Ann’s Nightie”—this is a commercial label despite the sound
of it :) : ) . Good condition with no holes or stains; but it does have
“dents” in the surface of the fabric as you can see in the
close-up—I would think a good dry cleaner could get them pressed out but
I can’t guarantee that. True colors are ice blue and off-white. Pulls on
over head with no fastenings.

pale pink. Has three buttons at yoke, no other fastenings. Three-quarter
length puffed sleeves in a leg-o-mutton shape end in a ruffled cuff. Robe
flares out from shoulders.

Measures

and length is 46”. Sleeves are 16” long from top of shoulder to cuff.
Fabric is rayon, unlined. Label reads ”Queen Set finished—made in
Hong Kong
”. Very good condition with no holes; has 3 very faint and small water
spots on front; you really have to look closely to spot them. True
colors are HOT watermelon pink with black and grey embroidery. Has kimono
sleeves, frog closures down front and side slits at bottom for ease in
movement.

1940s Blue Rayon
Nightgown w/Lace Trim
Constructed with
open shoulders and cut on the bias, this nice rayon gown has a 36 inch bust. Overall length is 56 inches. Has nice bodice detail with an ivory lace bib, 2
appliqué roses and lace trim that forms a shawl that runs over the top of the shoulders
to the back of the arm. Condition is in good
condition except for the following flaws: the upper back seam has been opened up to
provide more room in the bust and there are 6 pin head sized brown spots near the bottom
front.

1950’s Rayon Pajamas Top
measures 15" across the shoulders, 38" through the bust, 34" through the
waist and length is 24". Bottoms measure 24" to 28" at the waist, 38"
through the hips, inseam is 21" long and outside seam is 37" long. Leg opening
is 11" in diameter. I always recommend going by the outside seam to judge length on
vintage pants as they fit very -differently than modern pants. Fabric is lightweight
rayon. Label reads "styled by Louis Frimel". Good condition with no holes; has
water spotting on the top which is almost the same color as the fabric so you see it only
from a certain angle. True colors are medium blue with pale pink piping. Top buttons down
front; pants pull on with elastic waist and have buttons down the side as well.

Late 1900 century white
attenuated back brace with lace-up front, open back and waist strap.
An alert web site visitor informed me that ,
this would have been worn with the lacing at the back to hold the
shoulders back. It was to "train" girls/young ladies with
too rounded shoulders to stand correctly, a very similar thing is still
used today for the same problem.
A fleece
lining has been applied to the inside shoulder strap area. Measurements are hard to get on
